![]() Once it was shown, the presentation ended and the mixed reactions started pouring in immediately. If you’ve been following this saga, you already know that Diablo Immortal received a ton of backlash, including mass down votes on YouTube and even an audience question about whether the mobile game was an April Fool’s joke.įor what it’s worth, we enjoyed our hands-on time with Diablo Immortal at BlizzCon. The video message from Adham would have been comparable to when Nintendo teased a core Pokémon game for Switch, the Metroid Prime 4 logo reveal, and Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls VI tease at E3.ĭiablo Immortal anchored the BlizzCon opening ceremony over the weekend. While it shouldn’t be surprising that Blizzard didn’t reveal Diablo 4 during BlizzCon, a teaser video probably could have mitigated much of the maelstrom surrounding Diablo Immortal. The team working on Diablo 4 doesn’t seem quite ready to show it off. In the four years since the sequel was conceived, the project has had “at least two different iterations under “different directors.” It sounds like Blizzard is still figuring out what it wants Diablo 4 to be.

Thank you to my colleagues on Council, Jim Kownacki, Dave Maffei, Mike Powers, and Cathleen Lewis for having the confidence in me to be mayor. Thank you to the MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce for having me this morning to talk about the State of Lawrence Township. Thank you to Rachel and Jude for the introduction. Delivered at a breakfast hosted by the Lawrence Chapter of the MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce The ripper, while it's useful in a limited set of circumstances, really doesn't do anything that the other guns don't do just as well. The suit damage stuff is pretty self-explanatory. If you get good at aiming, you'll find yourself taking down the standard slashers with one shot, and you'll be carrying a ton of ammo. The fully-upgraded plasma cutter is pretty much the best weapon in the game. Reload speed is less of an issue, since it reloads pretty quickly anyway. With the plasma cutter, obviously, damage is your biggest concern, followed by capacity (since it effectively increases how many rounds you can carry). Stasis duration is also useful in places. In my mind, the two biggest priorities should be the plasma cutter and your suit's health. Overall upgrade strategies also appreciated. What would people recommend, for where I am at the moment? My eventual weapon loadout is currently planned to beĪnd I'm not bothering with the flamethrower, the force gun, or the machine gun. I am looking forward to getting the Ripper, but don't have it yet. Other than that, I've upgraded oxygen once for the RIG, and believe that given there's always a save station before a vacuum bit, that I never need more. ![]() My new Line Gun, however, gives me the option of upgrading Damage or Capacity right from the start.Īlternatively, I've got two empty nodes to fill before I can improve Duration or Capacity for my Stasis gun, which I am finding very useful. I've arranged it so that I'm next to two different Capacity nodes, both of which lead to more Damage, without hitting any empty nodes. I have upgraded the Plasma Cutter so that I've done Damage twice, and Capacity once. I am up to Chapter 3 and I have the Plasma Cutter, along with a new shiny Line Gun. ![]() I've been enjoying Dead Space, and have reached a point where I'd like some pointers or recommendations for my upgrade priorities. Clear outlines several ways you can do this, two of which are: (1) associating the new habit with other, positive behaviors and (2) reframing the struggle of a new habit in a positive light. If anticipation drives action, Clear hypothesizes, you should maximize the appeal of a desired behavior so that you anticipate it more. It’s wanting-not experiencing-the reward that drives the behavior.) This is due to dopamine: Your brain expects chocolate to be delicious-so your dopamine transmitters try to convince you that the next bite will be more delicious. ![]() If you’re hooked on chocolate, you’ll continue to eat a chocolate bar even if it’s stale. (Shortform note: In The Willpower Instinct, health psychologist Kelly McGonigal demonstrates how much power anticipation can have by describing how desire and dopamine drive action even if you don’t enjoy the reward. It’s this anticipatory surge of dopamine that drives you to act- not the dopamine you feel after you feel pleasure. Now, whenever you see chocolate, your brain will release dopamine because you anticipate the pleasure of eating it. Your brain will release a neurotransmitter called dopamine after you experience the pleasure of eating chocolate.
